Join Pete's 'Hula Hotties' For Fun & Fitness
Pete Moyer, world champion hula hooping juggler -- or juggling hula hooper -- is now teaching a new group exercise class at Fusion Fitness & Aquatics in Hillsboro. "Hula Hotties" provides total body conditioning with emphasis on the core area, using the hula hoop and other equipment.
The 30-minute class meets weekly at 8:15 a.m. Friday. It met for the first time on Feb. 3 and got rave reviews from all attendees.
Pete says you do NOT have to know how to hula hoop to participate. Like all group exercise classes at Fusion, it's free to members and $5/class for non-members.
Pete, 18, son of the Rev. Tom and Gwen Moyer of Hillsboro, was recently featured in The Journal-News after a Youtube video of him juggling while hula hooping was broadcast on Current television's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" show.

Stay Fit, Feel Younger With Silver Sneakers
Silver Sneakers, a nationwide fitness program for older adults, has been shown to reduce health care costs by improving the health and well being of members, helping them become active and motivating them to stay that way.
Every week, Fusion offers the signature Silver Sneakers Muscular Strength & Range of Movement class at 10 a.m. Monday and Wednesday, and Silver Sneakers Yoga Stretch at 9 a.m. Monday. Both are among the most well attended Group X classes at Fusion.
Participants know that physical activity helps them feel young, and exercises that build muscle strength, improve balance and promote walking can significantly reduce falls. Becoming more fit can also stave off chronic illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, colon cancer and high blood pressure.
To find out if you are eligible for a FREE Silver Sneakers membership, stop by the Fusion front desk or contact your health plan. For more information on the program, call toll free 1-888-423-4632 or visit www.silversneakers.com.
